The Bees Knees

The Inspiration

I began developing the composition in spring. It’s shapes began to remind me of emerging flowers and the movement of pollination, which eventually led to the title The Bees Knees. As the work developed, the colours became warmer and brighter, and the finished artwork came to capture the colour, warmth and energy of summer. A feeling I wanted it to hold onto even after the season passed.

  • Yes. The Bees Knees is a limited edition of 40. Once the edition has sold out, it will never be reproduced in this format.
