The Bees Knees
The Inspiration
I began developing the composition in spring. It’s shapes began to remind me of emerging flowers and the movement of pollination, which eventually led to the title The Bees Knees. As the work developed, the colours became warmer and brighter, and the finished artwork came to capture the colour, warmth and energy of summer. A feeling I wanted it to hold onto even after the season passed.With The Bees Knees, it’s forever summer.
The Edition
The forms and colours draw on pollination and the movement between plants and flowers. Bright, optimistic and full of energy, it's a little piece of summer that lasts all year.

Each print is individually hand-pulled using traditional silkscreen techniques, building the composition through carefully layered colour. Subtle variations are inherent to the process, making every print slightly unique.
